Reiner Knizia successfully against plagiarism by Lufthansa
Recently, it was announced that the airline Lufthansa distributed a give-away game to children that had a striking similarity to HECKMECK JUNIOR by the well-known game designer Reiner Knizia. The rules of the game were absolutely identical in content except for two marginal changes. Publisher and author responded then promptly with a lawyer letter. The lawyer of the author reached now a declaration of discontinuance by Lufthansa, which provides a further spread of this plagiarism is punishable.
Reiner Knizia, pleased with this success, said: "I think it is important for all of us that authors and publishers can also defend their rights to games in which they invest a lot of work and passion."
Because it is possible that any promotion agencies continue to offer companies such as plagiarism own creations, it is important to continue to keep their eyes open and to stop such plagiarists.
