New speaker for SAZ Italia
Luca Borsa has been nominated by the members of SAZ Italia, the Italian group of the international association of game authors, as the new speaker, taking over from Paolo Mori and will represent the more than 50 Italian members within the association's Extended Board. He will also operate as the official voice of the Italian group within events and fair in the area and will coordinate the group's activities aimed at recognizing the role of the author of board games.
His mandate begins on the "eve" of the centenary of the birth of Alex Randolph, precursor of the work of the author of board games, who was the first to fight to have the author recognized the importance of the author.
The new speaker said: "I believe that the world of the board game cannot ignore the role and importance of the creators' creativity, their recognition and enhancement are in the mission of SAZ, I thank my teammates who nominated me their speaker to continue to improve that constructive dialogue that must involve all operators in the sector up to the players, in order to make this world grow professionally. "
Luca Borsa, born in 1962, an engineer, since 2007, the year of the release of his first game, has published about thirty titles, especially paired with his friend and partner Luca Bellini and with other SAZ members such as Carlo Lanzavecchia, Walter Obert and Andrea Mainini. He deals with recreational dissemination and training especially for families and educators, he has held workshops and courses on game design at the Milan Polytechnic, the Turin Polytechnic, the Brera Academy and various high schools. He conceived corporate events using board games and participated in the drafting and implementation of the territorial game plan for a municipality in Brianza.
