On Monday, August 29, 2016 Harald Bilz died unexpectedly. The author and co-owner of Heidelberger Spieleverlag was early member of the SAZ and was from 1995 to 1999 its treasurer. For many years he gave his advice on the subject of independence and self-published willingly to interested members. At Heidelberger Spieleverlag and its innovative business model, he has made a name far beyond the borders of Germany. For many foreign authors and publishers, he was the first address. Harald was a really creative person, an enfant terrible in the scene, a man with constantly new ideas and special humor, but also an uncomfortable guy - one we will just therefore deeply miss.
