Göttinger Game Designers Convention – another success!
The 37th Game Designers Convention, organized by the SAZ and the City of Göttingen, ended on Sunday, June 3 with a positive result.
More than 300 participants, including almost 200 game authors and 60 publishing house representatives, took the opportunity to get in touch to present and review new games.
The € 1,000 Göttinger Spatz prize was awarded this year to the English game author David Parlett, who became particularly famous for his game HASE UND IGEL.
Richard Haarhoff from Bad Oldeslohe in northern Germany received the Förderpreis der Jury Spiel des Jahres with a scholarship for authors. He impressed the jury in particular with his drifting trick game SPACE DRAGON.
The next Game Designers Convention in Göttingen will take place on 6/7 July 2019 – one month later than usual – in the new location LOKHALLE.
