Creative associations take position on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Leading German creative associations have expressed their concerns in light of the current development of AI systems, emphasized the value of human creativity and raised a number of demands for regulation in a first position paper. The board of the Game Designers Association (SAZ) has endorsed this paper. In doing so, we recognize that AI technologies can, of course, provide meaningful support for human action and creativity. Among many societal dangers, creators' intellectual property rights must not be used like a digital public domain quarry. Dealing with AI requires clear, binding and, if possible, global regulations. The discussion is in full swing ... we will contribute here constructively and in the interest of our members!
